Mindspace Ltd., the leading global operator of high-end, inspiring coworking space, has today announced its partnership with KleinKantoor to further its expansion into the Netherlands.
KleinKantoor, one of the largest coworking operators in the Netherlands, will now work with Mindspace on its six properties and 15,000 square metres in prime locations across Amsterdam and Utrecht.
As part of the acquisition, Mindspace is set to redesign the spaces, which include historic buildings with unique architecture, to align with the company’s famously loved brand approach. For some, this will include starting entirely from scratch in order to meet Mindspace standards.
The news comes amid growing expectation that Mindspace is set to imminently announce expansion plans in London. The brand launched in the UK capital in December 2017, when it opened its first space in Aldgate which boasts a space of 3,054 square metres across two floors.
Mindspace prides itself in offering an upscale, vibrant, and professional coworking environment with imaginatively designed, fully furnished offices, meeting rooms, lounges, kitchens, a series of dedicated Mindspace community managers, supporting technology, and an engaging community.
The KK partnership will grow Mindspace’s portfolio to 25 locations and over 80,000 square meters of coworking space, establishing the brand as one of the largest providers in the world with a presence in six countries and 12 cities.
Dan Zakai, CEO and co-founder at Mindspace, said: “Amsterdam is one of the highest-barrier-to-entry markets in Europe and a perfect space for us to expand into. The city enjoys strong economic growth and very low vacancy of office space. KleinKantoor’s founder, Mr. Emiel Doorgeest, together with RJB Group of Companies, built an extraordinary portfolio of prime located co-working spaces in rare historic buildings.”
“We identified many similarities between Mindspace and KleinKantoor, specifically the uncompromising approach to prime locations, design, and level of service. We are excited about our entrance into the Dutch market, and expect a seamless transition and implementation of Mindspace’s operations.”
Emiel Doorgeest, Founder at KleinKantoor. said: “Together with Mindspace, we are strengthening our footprint as the Netherland’s leading operator. We are excited to provide our members with an unforgettable co-working experience in our beautiful buildings via the inspiring environment that is so unique to Mindspace. The KleinKantoor team and I are thrilled to join Mindspace”.
