The global co-working provider’s third Munich location becomes its biggest ever with 7,200 square meters of workspace that will host over 1,000 leading professionals

Munich, November 28th, 2017 — Mindspace, the rapidly-growing global provider of stylish and inspiring co-working spaces, announced today its third Munich location and its largest co-working space to date. Mindspace Stachus spans the entire 6 floors of Herzogspitalstraße 24 and will accommodate forward-looking enterprises, startups, and small and medium businesses, as well as entrepreneurs and freelancers. The addition of Mindspace Stachus to the company’s portfolio in Berlin, Munich and Hamburg, makes Mindspace one of the largest providers of co-working in Germany.

The building set to host Mindspace Stachus is currently undergoing construction and will open for business in the fourth quarter of 2018. Adjacent to Stachus-Karlsplatz in the western side of Munich’s Central Business District, the space is conveniently located by the U-Bahn, S-Bahn and city tram, and the Main Rail Station (Munich Hauptbahnhof) is a short walk away. Mindspace members who prefer to drive to work will be able to park their vehicles in the building’s secure parking garage. Among the nearby attractions are the chic Neuhauser shopping street, Karlstor, Landgericht, the old botanical garden, and the historic Bürgersaal Church.

Dan Zakai, Co-founder and CEO of Mindspace, said, “We’re thrilled to announce our largest location to date, and our third community in the Bavarian State Capital. Our vibrant community at Viktualienmarkt has quickly become Munich’s most interesting center for innovation and has seen the entire ecosystem visit us for meetups, workshops, and launches. We also witness strong demand for our upscale co-working offering for enterprises, startups, and teams of all sizes, in both Viktualienmarkt and our new Salvatorplatz location, scheduled to open in January 2018. With Mindspace Stachus, we establish a “downtown triangle” within Munich’s intimate business district and old town. This allows our members to work at the most beautiful and convenient spots in town, and to network with all of Mindspace’s members in Munich and around the world. Advancing our global expansion plans, we remain bullish on Munich, Germany, and sustaining our leadership in the European co-working market.”

German conglomerate, Siemens also placed two innovation teams at Mindspace: Siemens’ Intelligent Traffic Systems Digital Lab and the Siemens AI Research Lab. Dr. Claus Beringer, head of the innovative pioneers from Siemens Mobility explains his decision for the new venue: “Within a new office environment we are able to break the mold – outside of the familiar Siemens system. So our teams innovate even faster – just like startups. We develop new data-driven solutions and business models for Siemens, and Mindspace provides us with the flexibility and the perfect setting to think outside the box. Our teams, which include many Millennials, simply love it here and it’s certainly a plus to attract new talent to join us.”
