We are delighted to announce that Helen Woldemichael, Mindspace Hammersmith Community Manager, has been selected as the International Winner of the GWA’s Community Manager Award for Excellence in Hospitality. Congratulations to Helen! Our own Jake Ganey, Senior Community Manager at Washington DC’s Mindspace K Street was also nominated.
Claire Daniel, Senior Community Manager for Mindspace in London, Helen’s line manager, commented: “Helen, whose family is originally from Eritrea, was born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden and has been at Mindspace for just over a year. Helen joined Mindspace at a time where the community was just starting to form and has used her people skills to build a tight-knit community. She’s the backbone of our Hammersmith building, to the point that when other people cover the front desk, members who need help just ask where Helen is rather than trying to figure out if we can help them.”
About the CMA Awards by GWA
The CMA (Community Manager Award) is an award ceremony and prize celebrating the best and most sought-after community managers from around the world. There are many levels of service that can be provided in the flexible office space market and service-based communities at large. The CMA aims to recognize and honor those community managers that go above and beyond their official role to give their community members the best possible experience of service they can have. On a personal and professional level, they help the community thrive and create an everlasting impression on those lucky enough to receive their services.
Helen said: “I am extremely excited to win this award. It is so wonderful to get recognition for the work I put in as a Community Manager at Mindspace Hammersmith in London. I really enjoy my job and especially working for a company that values customer experience highly and is also able to maintain a warm, personal community feel, at all its global locations.”
Florian Fellmer, General Manager UK for Mindspace, added: “I am really happy for Helen and extremely proud of her. This is a great acknowledgement of the amazing work she is doing for the Hammersmith community every single day. Having a caring on-site community team that goes above and beyond for our members is one of Mindspace’s key differentiation features and it’s great to see this recognized on such a global scale.”
